Day 1 Arrival in Muscat
Arrival at Muscat International Airport. After proceeding through immigration and collecting your luggage you will be met by your driver in the arrivals hall. Transfer to the hotel and check-in. Overnight at Muscat Holiday Hotel, 4* city hotel. Please note: check-in time is from 14:00 hrs
Day 2 Muscat city tour
After breakfast at 09.30 depart for the citytour which begins with a visit to the magnificent Grand Mosque, built with sandstone and marble. A beautiful Swarowski chandelier and a huge handmade Persian carpet adorn the main prayer hall. Then continue to the Muttrah Souk, a traditional oriental market. Enjoy the lively atmosphere and the scent of frankincense and spices. After a light snack at one of the restaurants near the souk you will visit Bait Al Zubair museum. This privately owned museum, located in the old town of Muscat, is known for its fine collection of traditional costumes, antique jewellery and weapons. Afterwards we will have a photo stop at Al Alam Palace, the palace of the Sultan. On the way back to the hotel photo stop at the Royal Opera House and drive through the ministries- and embassies area. Overnight at your Muscat Hotel.
Day 3 Muscat – Birkat al Mauz – Al Hamra – Jebel Shams – Bahla
After breakfast we will leave Muscat and depart towards the interior of Oman. First stop is the village of Birkat Al Mauz with its many gardens. Continue to the small town of Al Hamra, were many of the traditional mudhouses are still intact. From there we go up to the village of Misfat which literally clings to the side of the mountain. Take a walk through the village and see the traditional irrigation channels (Falaj). We will then switch to 4x4 vehicles and go further up to Jebel Shams, the „mountain of the sun”. Enjoy the spectacular view from the ‘Grand Canyon’. We will have a picnic lunch and then leave the mountain to go to your hotel in Bahla. Overnight at Jibreen hotel (alcohol-free), a smaller, family owned hotel, located near Jabrin castle.
Day 4 Bahla – Jabrin – Nizwa – Mudayrib – Wahiba
After breakfast we will visit Jabrin Castle, Omans most beautiful fort with its winding hallways, hidden staircases and beautifully decorated interior. Then we continue to the city of Nizwa, former capital of Oman. Visit the Nizwa fort with its imposing watchtower and the Souk, known for handmade silver jewellery. After lunch we will head towards the desert, the Wahiba Sands. 4x4 vehicles will take you to the camp. Dinner and overnight at the Desert Palm Camp (alcohol-free).
Day 5 Wahiba – Wadi Bani Khaled – Ras Al Hadd
After breakfast you will have some free time to enjoy the desert atmosphere. Then the 4x4 vehicles will take you back to the bus. We will then visit Wadi Bani Khaled, which stands in strong contrast to the desert with its natural pools and greenery. Optional lunch in a local restaurant (not included in price). After lunch we will continue to the coastal town of Ras Al Hadd where you can watch the turtles* later in the evening. Dinner in the hotel (included in price). Overnight at Turtle Beach Resort, a traditional Omani resort with Barasti-bungalows (‘Hamoor’ room with private bathroom, TV and refrigerator.
Day 6 Ras Al Hadd – Sur –Wadi Tiwi – Muscat – Dubai
After breakfast we will drive to Sur for a short citytour and a visit to the dhow building yards. Then embark on a relaxing 1h cruise on a traditional dhow. After that we will start our journey back to Muscat along the coast. We will stop at the beautiful Wadi Tiwi and have lunch at the Wadi Shab Resort. In Muscat transfer to the airport and flight to Dubai (without tourguide). Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 Dubai – full city tour and dinner-dhowcruise at Dubai Marina
Aftr breakfast your day starts with exploring this unique and spectacular city. Within less than 30 years this city was transformed from a small fishing village by the Dubai creek to one of the most important cities in the Gulf region. We begin with several photo stopps in the modern city: Jumeirah-Mosque, built in medieveal Fatimid style, the Burj Al Arab Hotel in the form of a giant sail. Along Jumeirah road we continue to the artificial island “The Palm” and make a photo stop at the Atlantis Hotel. From Palm Monorail you will have a beautiful view of the island, the coast and the skyline of Dubai. Then explore Dubais old part “Bastakya” with its traditional houses and windtowers which in the past served as a natural air conditioning. Afterwards visit the Dubai Museum which is located in the historical Al Fahidi fort. We will then cross the Dubai creek to Deira with the traditional water taxi (Abra) and visit the Gold- and Spice market. We continue with a visit to Burj Khalifa, with its 828 meters the tallest building in the world. The tour starts on the ground floor of the Dubai Mall and a multimedia show will keep you entertained all the way to the 124. Floor. Afterwards admire the aquarium in the Dubai Mall and enjoy a show of the Dubai Fountain. From the mall we will take you directly to the Dubai Marina for a romantic dinner-dhowcruise (duration 2h, dinner buffet incl. non alcoholic beverages). Then return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 8 Sharjah Tour/ afternoon Desert Safari with BBQ Dinner
You can spend the morning hours with an excursion to Sharjah: city tour via Koran square, visit to the Museum of Islamic Art, visit to souk Al Arsah, photo stops at the central souk, the lagoon and the mosque. Return to Dubai.
Early afternoon we will take you on a desert safari to the golden dunes. Drive up to one of the highest sanddunes to enjoy the sunset. Later a barbecue with oriental dancers, tea and shisha (water pipe) in a bedouin camp. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 9 - Dubai – Abu Dhabi
Breakfast and departure to Abu Dhabi (capital city of the emirate of Abu Dhabi and of the United Arab Emirates), to explore one of the most modern cities in the Gulf. Visit the famous Sheikh-Zayed-Mosque, the largest mosque of the UAE, Al Husn Palace and the Heritage Village. Continue along Corniche Road, passing by Emirates Palace Hotel, one of the worlds most luxurious hotels. Then go on a short tour to explore culture and art of the town and Saadyat Island. This is where four famous architects (Frank Gehrz, Jean Nouvel, Tadao Ando und Zaha Hadid) present their designs for the construction of museums (Louvre and Guggenheim). There is also a center for performimg arts, all of which makes Saadyat island an important cultural destination. After visiting the exhibition centre and Al Manarat we will take you on a short tour to Yas Island, home of the Formula 1 race track. Return to Dubai and overnight.
Day 10 Dubai – Al Ain
Breakfast and departure to Al Ain. located at the Omani border, Al Ain is the second largest city in the emirate of Abu Dhabi (UNESCO world heritage site since June 2011). With more then 10000 hectares of parks and greenery, Al Ain is called ‘garden’ of the UAE. Dairy and other farms are loctated here and it is also home of the emirates largest zoo. Enjoy the lively atmosphere of the camel market and then visit the old Al Jahili fort. The museum there will give you some insight of the regions past and the local traditions. Afterwards take a walk between the palm trees of the oasis and then visit the former palace of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder and first ruler of the UAE. Return to Dubai. Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast and airport transfer according to flight times
In your free time you can explore the city on your own. Visit for example the Wild Wadi Water Park, the Atlantis Water Park and Atlantis aquarium. Take the hotels complimentary shuttle to the shopping mall or take the metro to the Mall of The Emirates for a surreal experience: skiing in the desert!

Between the tour destinations you will travel with private transfers and guides.
Dresscode for the mosque visit: Women must cover arms and legs and wear a headscarf. Men must wear long trousers. Children under 10 years are not allowed to enter the prayer hall.
Turtles in Ras al Jinz:
The tour with local rangers is conducted in English only.
There are 2 tours per day one at appr. 21:00hrs und one at appr. 04:00hrs Duration appr. 2h. You will have tickets for the evening tour.
Sometimes, however, we will have to change to the morning tour.
The number of visitors is restricted to max. 100, plus the guests of the resort.
The number of turtles can vary, depending on the season. The best season is from May to September.
Important: if no turtles are in the nature reserve, the tour can be cancelled on short notice. No refund for tickets.
Visitors are required to keep silent and not to use flashlights.Photography is not permitted, in order to not disturb the animals.
